Very good, gave me a lot of useful insight to think about for a while. Though Tom did speak very fast, if you're not a native english speaker it might be hard to follow.

I love your session, it was so far the best I've seen and suppose, this won't change all the way to the end of the web 2.0 expo berlin. you've did an amazing job, keep up the good work.

But I do have a question concerning the 500 million new photos flickr gained in the last 1.5 month. It is a quite amazing number and it's getting even more amazing if we look at the total number of photos flickr is having, which is 1.8 billion. This would mean that flickr did grow in the last 1.5 month for round abouth 30%, which sounds only possible if this 500 million include the imported photos from yahoo! photos.

Your session really made up for both previous ones I attended this morning: absolutely worthwhile! Thanks.

I'd love to have this session on video to share with my colleagues back home. Tom's comments were insightful and his presentation was engaging – and gorgeous to look at.

I particularly enjoyed his discussion of hierarchies versus data-driven navigation, where he pointed out that the hierarchy, after all, is just another information vector. There's really no need to have the two sides argue, we should think about discoverability instead. What I would like to hear a bit about from Tom next time would be how to design mechanisms that nudge participation and data-driven navigation in certain directions. Given near-infinite paths and combinations in a web service, how can you design the individual "destinations" to be as relevant and considerately linked as possible?
