Very good keynote. I didn't know wind power was such a problem to the grid.
I love the fact that saving our footprint finally goes beyond the "oh well, change your light bulbs and unplug your charges when you're done".

Ireland is one of the first (I think) countries that charges consumers for plastic bags. I hope this country will continue to lead the way to a greener environment, by adopting your plan!

I think this keynote presentation was quite misplaced in this forum - and this is not a critique of Tom Rafferty

Lars,

I understand your point. I think the organisers took a little bit of a risk including a keynote on carbon neutrality but I think they did so because of the extreme importance of the topic. I absolutely applaud them for being so bold.

Lars,

I think that the carbon footprint of our industry is incredibly important and relevant. Power is the limiting factor for larger data centers. As more are built and used its important to spread awareness of the issue and the effectiveness of potential solutions.
